Bangor University Offers Head of Schools Scholarship for International Postgraduate Research Students Bangor, Wales

Bangor University, a prestigious institution of higher learning in Wales’ beautiful region, has announced the Head of Schools Scholarship for international postgraduate research students, which offers a 10% tuition price discount for each year of study. This award is intended to help academically promising students who do not have a first-class or distinction in their Master’s degrees.

Eligibility and Criteria

Applications for the Head of Schools Scholarship are invited from worldwide applicants who are entirely or substantially funded by themselves, with a focus on those who are not fully sponsored by a third party. This program is intended for students who, although not earning a first-class or distinction in their Master’s degree, have been judged by the Academic School to be worthy of an offer of admission.

Additionally, candidates for postgraduate research scholarships who work part-time or full-time are eligible to apply. Applicants must be paying foreign tuition fees to be eligible.

Scholarship Conditions

The Head of Schools Scholarship recipients will begin their studies in the 2023–2024 academic year. It is significant to remember that this scholarship is not renewable for the next academic year. Subject to good academic progress, awards will be given for a maximum of three years or the equivalent for students enrolled part-time. Scholarships for the following academic year will be forfeited if a student’s performance drops below the required level. It is very important to understand that this scholarship, along with the Alumni/Existing Students/Family Discount, cannot be coupled with any other scholarship that Bangor University offers. Recipients of scholarships will also be asked to act as ambassadors for the programme, actively engaging in promotional efforts on behalf of Bangor University both while they are enrolled and after they graduate.

Selection Process

The allocation of the Head of Schools Scholarship is solely at the discretion of Bangor University. Candidates will be evaluated according to their potential in the classroom and the Academic School’s assessment of their suitability for admission.
